Drone Days 2018

Close to 5000 people were present for the second edition of the EPFL Drone Days,  where they had the chance to try their hand at flying drones of all shapes and sizes. The highlight of the event was the spectacular drone race, which was won by three Swiss pilots after several days of intense battle involving over sixty international racers.

The sun was shining on Sunday on the EPFL Campus to crown three days of drone racing, robotics showcase, conferences, demonstrations and workshops on the theme of flying robotics. Like last year, close to 5000 visitors were able to discover all about drones, from research to sport and leisure, humanitarian work and industry.

Organized by EPFL in partnership with the World Airsports Federation (FAI), the Swiss Rotor Sport Association and the EPFL students’ association Aéropoly, the EPFL Drone Days have the ambition to become an unmissable event in the world of flying robotics, for the general public and specialists alike.
